Small group meeting in a modern conference room with participants seated around a table, reviewing documents during an “AEM State Advocacy Update” displayed on a wall-mounted screen.Dairy equipment leaders from across the industry gathered this week at AEM’s Milwaukee headquarters for a discussion on key challenges, opportunities, and strategic priorities shaping the sector.

The meetings brought together members of AEM’s Dairy Equipment Leadership Group, along with a special visit from Wisconsin Senator Rob Stafsholt, who provided an update on the Wisconsin Dairy Innovation Fund and discussed next steps for the program with the group. His remarks led into a broader discussion on the current state of Wisconsin’s dairy industry, and the policy and funding landscape impacting producers and equipment manufacturers alike.

Throughout the day, attendees engaged in a series of discussions aimed at strengthening industry alignment and driving future growth. An update was provided on AEM’s dairy equipment statistics programs, where members reviewed current progress and explored opportunities to further enhance data insights and reporting capabilities through the association’s market share statistics program.

Advocacy remained a central focus as well. Attendees received updates on legislative and regulatory developments at the state level, including ongoing industry conversations around data governance and ownership. These evolving policy areas are increasingly relevant as equipment technology continues to advance.

AEM’s Dairy Equipment Engineering Committee provided an update on the recent safety and standards work. The group also dedicated time to long-term strategic planning, identifying the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing the dairy equipment sector.

“AEM’s Dairy Leadership Group is a fantastic example of how AEM members can come together in the interest of solving some of the biggest challenges that the industry is facing today, helping AEM ensure that we continue to deliver value to our members in this space,” said AEM Senior Director of Agriculture Services Austin Gellings. “We appreciate industry leaders volunteering their time, effort, and support to advance the industry.”
