The equipment manufacturing industry is strongest when its voice is heard. This election year, Equipped to Vote is helping ensure the men and women who build, power, and feed our world have the information and resources they need to participate in the democratic process and make their voices count.
The 2026 Equipped to Vote program is now underway, providing AEM member companies with free resources to encourage civic participation and help employees prepare for Election Day. The nonpartisan initiative, which will run up to the midterm elections on Nov. 3, is designed to educate, engage, and empower the men and women who build, power, and feed our world by ensuring they have the information they need to make their voices heard at the ballot box.
Public policy decisions affect virtually every aspect of the equipment manufacturing industry, from workforce development to infrastructure investment. Voting gives employees the opportunity to have a say in those decisions and participate in shaping the future of their communities, businesses, and industry.
To support member companies, AEM has developed a comprehensive Equipped to Vote digital toolkit through the I Make America Resource Center, featuring ready-to-use resources that can be shared with employees throughout the election season. The toolkit includes social media graphics and sample posts, printable posters, an educational video, and other resources designed to promote awareness and participation in a simple, nonpartisan way. Companies can also order postcards promoting the program through the I Make America Resource Center.
One of the easiest ways to get involved is by sharing Equipped to Vote content across your company's social media channels. The toolkit's customizable social media assets help reinforce key voting milestones, encourage voter registration, and remind employees to make a plan to vote. Whether your company is posting on LinkedIn, Facebook, X, or sharing resources internally, every message helps expand the reach of the program and strengthen civic engagement across the industry.
Participation in Equipped to Vote can also help member companies earn recognition through the AEM Advocacy Awards, announced during AEM’s Annual Conference. Companies that distribute Equipped to Vote postcards, share toolkit resources, or otherwise promote the campaign can receive points toward the Advocacy Awards program, which recognizes member companies for their commitment to advocacy and grassroots engagement.
As Election Day approaches, now is the time to put these resources to work. By sharing Equipped to Vote resources, AEM member companies can help employees make their voices heard.
Member companies can access Equipped to Vote sources through the I Make America Resource Center and learn more by visiting equippedtovote.org.
