As the weather warms up and I look ahead to March, spring break is set to be a little different this year…

World of Asphalt 2024 is right around the corner, and there’s no doubt in my mind this is the event that serves as the spring training contractors and the greater industry needs to launch a successful paving season.

We're back in Music City, and I'm proud to say World of Asphalt 2024 will have more exhibitors, more equipment, and even more fun than ever before. This show continues to be the premier gathering of the paving industry in North America, and I’m so excited for attendees and exhibitors to come together once again this March 25-27, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee

What also continues this year is the steadfast commitment and ongoing collaboration between the industry associations that work behind the scenes to deliver a high-quality show that meets the expectations of exhibitors and attendees alike. World of Asphalt is a joint venture between the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA), and the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA). For over 20 years, this powerhouse trio has worked together to bring the interests and needs of the asphalt industry, the aggregates industry, and the equipment manufacturing industry together. This includes the voices of over 30 equipment manufacturers, asphalt contractors, and materials producers. So, World of Asphalt truly is a show by the industry, for the industry.

World of Asphalt is also co-located with AGG1, the aggregates industry's leading expo and conference. This unique arrangement offers attendees access to two shows for the price of one, along with the chance to benefit from cross-networking and cross-learning opportunities that arise from having both events under one roof. Over the course of three days, attendees will find more than 400 exhibitors in one hall focused on providing equipment, services, and technology that will improve their day-to-day operations, their business, and the industry as a whole. The equipment brought to World of Asphalt continually pushes the boundaries of innovation, and it helps provide America a foundation for the roads and bridges we rely on a daily basis.

At the heart of the show remains the training veterans and rookies need to stay fresh and on top of their game with the People, Plants, and Paving Conference. This includes more than 120 education sessions covering topics such as paving, milling, and maintenance best practices, as well as safety, sustainability, innovation, and workforce development. The industry continues to move forward at a fast pace, so offering sessions that can accelerate one’s business acumen, technical skill, and regulatory understanding is crucial.

It’s no secret, however, that sometimes the best solutions and connections come after some friendly conversation, meeting some new folks in the industry, and enjoying a nice, cold beverage. World of Asphalt truly becomes a small eco-system in Nashville, with people becoming fast friends and taking advantage of valuable networking opportunities to discuss the dynamic industry. New this year, attendees are so eager to connect in Nashville that they have collaborated with World of Asphalt for the first time to create a Raised on Blacktop & World of Asphalt Kick-Off party the night before the show. But the connections don’t stop there, as attendees can find an exhibitor-sponsored hall wide happy hour on Tuesday along with many other pop-up events hosted in the city throughout the week.

The asphalt industry is essential for the development and maintenance of America’s infrastructure. It provides jobs, economic benefits, and social benefits for millions of people. World of Asphalt and the associations that bring you this event are proud to be part of this dynamic and influential industry, and we are confident this year’s show in Nashville will bring with it new connections, innovative solutions, and valuable insights and knowledge that will help move the industry forward.
